Last year was rough, and it left many of us with all manners of scars that are quite ragged and fresh even now. But with these lashes and the marks they’ve caused, we’ve got lessons to process and momentum to use.
The transition into the new year is always crucial, as it’s much like walking from one room to the next. What we place in this room that represents our lives, going forwards, will impact what we experience this year. Being mindful of this and architecting great, positive change will take some doing.
2017 was divisive and difficult, frustrating and fractious the world over. In 2018, I would suggest that we aim to counter this flow & turn it around, using the energies at play to reconcile and create movement of magnitude towards reconciliation and shared joy. It is all too easy to lose sight of what’s important when the world is going to Hell in a handbasket, but that is the very time at which we need our families and friends.
I would suggest burying the hatchet with those whom you love, even if you and they don’t necessarily see eye to eye on things. That doesn’t mean that you should forgive someone of grievous harm done by others, rather I suggest that you set aside offense given through events and discussions that have been blown out of proportion by a lack of distance and perspective.
Endeavor to be a beacon of hope and mutual enjoyment to those you care for. Be a part of their lives and allow them to be a part of yours. You will cherish their support and benefit of these are people who should be important to you. Having friends and a means of social support is good for each of us.
I look forward to working with you and seeing each of our lives improve this year.
Blessings,
Chris
