Go hand in hand, as its the space our ancestors took refuge in when the world was against them. In those moments where perceived safety imploded, it became a refuge, a remaining vestige of harm-prevented, and a means of lashing out when necessary. So in these moments where the vicious and vile come to the surface, sit with what keeps you stuck for just a moment, and then contemplate what it is that keeps you from acting.

As some of you may have noticed, the website looks a little different both on desktop and on mobile - I'm working on getting this website back up to speed after settling into a groove some many years ago.
As that's going on, you should notice this getting a bit easier to read, and I'll be populating this website with further information, tips and tricks for the budding sorcerers, witches and manifestation-seekers in the meantime. If you'd like to connect with me on Instagram or TikTok, you can do so by clicking the associated link. Likewise, feel free to Contact Me if you have questions or need magickal support! -T So for those of you who have been following along on Instagram & TikTok, I've recently opened up about what it is to be a plural system, especially in the working context of being a sorcerer. For me, the two things go hand in hand on some intrinsic level, as I seem to have inherited both spiritual tendencies from the indigenous sides of my mom's family & experienced really extreme trauma at a young age that shaped my brain.
In essence, a godawful childhood + running to spirit instead of people led to an experience where my brain functionally grew up around spook. I can remember this being a part of my life - of "our" lives for basically as long as we can remember, and as a result of each of my parts having different lived experiences as a result of fragmentation, we also each explored different aspects of that magickal journey from altered perspectives. It wasn't until getting our diagnosis changed from CPTSD to Dissociative Identity Disorder that my parts could really begin collaborating with and among ourselves as a group of people rather than as one sole, unified monoconscious being....a thing that never really made sense, and quite earnestly made my life significantly harder. Incidentally, that's also where spirits have come in for me...they took me, this child who was so afraid of literally everything, through the underworld of being and helped me to come to understand my parts. When I was just starting to figure out what it was to be plural, I turned to spirits like Akshobhya to find my way to myselves, to Amogasiddhi to help me sit with this sea of people inside myself without judgement, and to Vajrakilaya to help us present a unified front from what felt, at the time, like dissociated madness as a kind of fog of war. Over time, these spirits started showing up for us in different ways, too. For instance, Kali has been mom since we were about seven years old, back from around the time where we thought the Wolf we kept seeing in our head was a spirit animal. In recent years, she's become something of a spiritual advisor to each of us, holding space when we're scared, grieving, or worried about what kind of harm might come next. One of many, in fact, and I, WE love her to pieces. She's been one of many that's showed up for us as a system, and its through teachings like hers that we've started to embrace that everything in the world has a purpose. All of the protectors, the fearful ones, the scared children, the coprocessing therapist types, and those who work towards liberation for each of us, too. So my advice: see if you can find out what the pieces and parts of your mind want and need. You may or may not be plural like me, but I suspect learning to invite each of your parts to the table that you might interact with and heal them will help you to feel greater peace. I do, though it is at times deeply fucking scary. With love, -T Lately, I’ve been going through some really intense interpersonal changes & emotional shifts, and it seems like that’s happening in response to the magick I’m doing in the outside world.
I’ve reached a point in my practice where my clients regularly tell me about damn near miraculous things happening for them in response to my endeavors and efforts, and it seems like my own internal world is trying to follow suit. As I’m encountering this in my own life, what I’m learning is that the way that I apply magick to my situation has to change too. It used to be that I would use & wield ritual almost entirely on behalf of other people, effectively becoming a knife they used to cut through obstacles and trouble… Turns out that was pretty central to my experience of childhood too, so changing that pattern required confronting that pattern, first. That’s been something of a process, and it started many years ago when I first went into therapy following major medical diagnosis + reframing, and immediately before divorcing my ex-husband. At that time, I was using my magic solely for the persons I was supporting: it was all for others, and not for myself. Eventually, what changed was the realization that I could use magick as a means of helping me to love and connect with people more effectively…. I realized I could go from spiritual and emotional caretaker to facilitator, to working as someone who could really significantly redirect fates. …Up to and including my own. annnnnd go figure, that’s where things changed. That seems to be when I finally started acting like my own ally, and it began to catalyze this process of evolution, giving me some nuggets of truth to ponder in the meanwhile. One that I’ll share today is this: if you’re feeling stuck, if you have a sense that you can’t actually actually change your circumstances the way that you are now, consider what you can address internally. Create peace through acceptance in yourself, and then really lean into the areas of discomfort - those are the direction in which growth will be had, and that’s how you change your life from the ground up. By all means, do the work necessary to support yourself getting paid and supported in the meantime, but step further into that space of becoming & magick won’t just be a cope anymore. It won’t just be a means of filling your time or making yourself feel important by changing lives for other people - instead, it’ll be about changing doors as well and emancipating everybody, yourself included. Lots of love. -Effigy of T’s system As some of y'all may have noticed, the past two weekends have been something of an Hour of Consequences. So, so much activity has been occurring in the spirit world and the in-between, and the end result is a series of manifested tragedies & difficulties that have been quite a lot for everyone to navigate.
Arguably, I'm of the mind that what's happening in the spirit world is spilling over into the physical, as its always wont to do. When and where that happens, people tend to suffer. Often that suffering becomes localized & creates things like unrest, violent outbursts, and increases in things like troubled escapism. Essentially, suffering begets more of the same, and while we say that misery wants company, its more like misery doesn't know anything other than loneliness and so it can't recognize something different. As a Vajrayanist, my "job", my function is to interact with spirits as a go-between and medium, as well as a bridge by which each side of the equation can get what they want out of the interaction. My advice to you, if you're in the market and want a chance at easier interactions, is to give small offerings of coffee and butter, with a pinch of salt. Give those three things: acid, base and starter, and ask for calm. See what happens, report below, or come ping me on Socials. ;) -T What is Vajrayana?
I've been talking about this more and more recently, and I suppose I should more formally introduce this practice and how/why I get on with it. Where to start? ..Suppose the most logical place is to articulate where this comes from. In India, way, way back, the OG practices of magick-as-Buddhism has its roots in tantric practice, and more specifically the concept of using tantra and kaula to do things in the world and in the mind. Vajrayana takes that to heart and then uses this process of magick-as-liberation as the conceptual framework tied to love-as-fuel. In esoteric speak, we Vajrayanists use Bodhicitta (cultivated love for others expressed as unselfish compassion) to create the auspicious circumstances through which change can exist in the world. In laymen's terms, we use love as fuel to create the circumstance that allow the things we want to exist to manifest. TLDR, do the right things with the right care and the world gives you (some) of what you want; we Vajrayanists want to use that to create a better state of being for the world, conceptually. As such, all of the rituals are used as frameworks for creating this goodness and spreading it around, since that's the mode by which magick can't help but occur. Its weird, at least at first, but that's partially because it so targets the root of the colonial bullshitisms that have impacted the world thusly. When you work with and connect to Spirit authentically, you very rapidly learn that the way of things is not at all what we expect, and our expectation is part of what fuels nonsense. So just as we neurodiverse peoples must unlearn some of our masking patterns and be perceived as we are to be happy, the universe needs to be perceived as it is and worked with as such to be given what it needs to give you what you want. So its a magick of manifestation through reframing and radical action against the currents which keep you stuck. The way you think of things is crucial, as thought begets action, which begets change. It all starts within the spark of the mind, and that includes how you see yourself. Vajrayana, the Diamond Vehicle, uses this as fuel to change self to change the world around it. That's why so much of what I talk about is conceptual. Its about framing, up to how you see yourself and your interactions with others. IE, if you see yourself as worthy of the universe and gently held by it, inasmuch as that's possible, you can try to do the same for other realities and perspectives while simultaneously using those biiiig emotions as fuel. Sometimes, you do that just right, and things change in kind of incredible, semi-miraculous ways. I studied the magick of thaumatheurgy for a looong, long time, and it led me right back home to the practices of my youth. Om ye dharma puja ho! Thanks for reading! -Tea Hey y'all, its been the better part of a year since I've last posted here, and in the intervening months there's been a tremendous degree of self-development and growth, which I've been narrating on both Instagram & TikTok - I'll include those links at the bottom.
In those months, I've undergone a name change to more fully embrace and accept who I am. The name I went by before was a reference to a thing my parents didn't really want in their lives - my mother reminded me that I was named for something she was given by mistake. Recognizing this, T, or Tea is my way of acknowledging my heritage, the complexity of my flavor, and the valuing of the individual ingredients who make me who I am. That same complexity is what allows me to make spirit medicine for y'all, and I walk into this space with that awareness in mind. As always, thank you so much for your support! If you've been caught unaware and don't already follow me on socials, you can find me swiftly through these links.: TikTok I post there almost daily for those who are interested in learning sorcery visually! -T Something to consider when contemplating how you work with the spirit world...
When you're interacting with spirits, take heed of what they do and don't say. The information that's dumped into your head through these interactions will have a lot of ins and outs, and there's degrees of nuance that flow in formation with these words and experiences. As you get and parse this insight, ensure that you pay careful attention to what you do and don't receive. This is an important factoid to consider, lest you be taken advantage of by a spirit who is patently unhelpful. If you do the thing where you fill in the blank with an assumption, that can create a problematic expectation or limiting factor in the energy brought away from that interaction. For those of you who have been following me on Instagram, it will come as no surprise that I'm digging into social and emotional labor tied to the expression of one's inner truth and how that's tied down and restrained by conditioning we receive as children and adults.
Our society has a tendency to try to homogenize all things for the sake of fitting in to the greater whole in a way that feels unified on the surface, often to the wholesale detriment of all of the uniqueness that makes us who and what we are. Recognizing this, I feel a need to rewild myself, the world within, and the world without to get us back to the magick, to the glory, to the power and potency of circumstance. When we're in that space where the choices are a) be like everyone else, or b) choose yourself, its important to be able to exist in a way that's healthy and additive for the whole while simultaneously being true to ourselves, and I would invite you to see what social conditioning you can lay down at the door. There's bound to be quite a lot you're doing that makes you miserable and unhappy, all for the sake of others who are ALSO unhappy with the same systems, conditions and circumstances. Food for thought. ;) -Chris/SE Beyond the noise, beyond the expectations, beyond what others have conditioned you to be? Maybe you're the pretty boy or girl whose been told, your entire life, that your looks will be enough to get you the attention you deserve? Maybe you're the adult who was once a kid, struggling for attention and care, and now you're pretty and to some extent successful, but nobody really knows who you are? Do you? Do those closest to you? |
