I've again been quiet, as of late. I've had more than a few clients ping me and ask that I start writing more blog posts, and I've come around to confront the following: I generally prefer to do magic rather than teach it. Nevertheless, I've been slacking off in that department, so I now must attempt to remedy this.
To start, as of late, I've been receiving a few different questions about blessing things that don't go bang, but are instead sharp and pointy. As with my previous post about blessing firearms, the same rules apply....be careful, they aren't toys, and you can do a great many things with them.
The following applies regardless of the shape or size of the bladed object in question, but you may need to change the wording some to fit.
Blessing a Sharp Object:
Materials needed:
The Ritual:
Sit down and make yourself comfortable. Do whatever you need to get yourself into "the zone" (meditate, breathe, get laid, etc.) and then bring yourself to a point of focusing on the work at hand.
Light the candle, and place the sharp object between yourself and the candle. Then say the following: "Ullr, Oðin, and Tyr, I'd ask that you join your essence with this blade and grant me your skill at wielding it in matters of art, war, and magic. Let it become an extension of my hand, and be a prized tool, never to dull."
Once that it is done, let the candle burn itself out. You can move the sharp thing once that is done.

- The object you want to bless
- Matches or a lighter
