There’s a lot to be said for a calm night in with a cup of tea & a good book, going to a play or movie with friends, or simply having a family game night. It doesn’t have to be crazy extravagant to be a good time. It just needs to be time, however much you can spare, spent without judgement and without too much expectation. Find a way to enjoy yourself in those brief moments in which joy can be created. There’s nothing wrong with a bit of silliness and levity, especially after working a long shift and being dead tired.
Spend time with “safe” people whom you don’t need to be guarded around. Laugh a little. Or a lot. Enjoy some coffee and share a meal. Doesn’t take much, and a little bit goes a long way.
Blessings,
Chris
