Working with Elubatel

Evening/Morning, folks. :)

Its a rare day when I get the writing bug during the Witching Hour, but for the moment, I find myself a bit entranced by the allure and pull of a spirit I know well.

Some of you may know of her as a "he" rather than a "she", and some of you may not know of this entity at all; in the Miracle of New Avatar Power by Geoff Gray Cobb, this spirit is called, simply, Elubatel.

For those of you who have worked with her, I don't think I need to stress just how damned effective she is at her job.  For those of you who are unaware and unfamiliar with her, however, it is worth noting that she is a spirit who the text implies will bring one's intentions to successful fruition....one heck of a noticeable function, ain't it?

Ironically, its also something that goes more-or-less unnoticed in the magical world....I guess it just seems, well, too simple and not grandiose.  That is, until you really begin to think on and understand the implications of such workings.

Now, I've talked about Elubatel previously; about how I experienced depression when working with her. About how she wasn't always the easiest to get on with. In reality, my difficulty came from within me, as I've come to realize over the past few months.

What I've also come to realize is that working with her was also a resounding success, even when the results manifested sneakily over a year after the working was done.

With that said, I pen this post for the sake of imparting a bit of wisdom on how one should go about working with Elubatel for the best results.

Picture
Before I speak on the methodologies I employ when utilizing her, I feel as though its important to note the sigil used.  Depicted at the top of this post on the left and directly above this paragraph, over the square of her name, it is a spiritual key.  It cuts the nonsense out of the manifestation, and can be used as a yantra and means of evoking the spirit through gazes.

For those of you who don't know what I mean, if you want to utilize the seal above, clear your temple's space, then print or draw it out on a consecrated piece of paper.  And yes, I would recommend creating a new one each and every time you work with her.

After doing so, I anoint a candle in charged and consecrated Abramelin, Cinnamon, or Bergamot oil, from the wick down, and then say a prayer to my Agathosdaimon, in effect invoking my Self as a Divine Being rather than as an incarnate human. From there, I proceed to place the candle on top of the sigil, light it, then pour her a shot glass' worth of holy water and place it on top of the sigil, in front of the burning candle.

This is where Will comes in, as I simply Will her to appear in the candle's reflection through the holy water while saying a prayer of intention and calling like so:
AIO, IOA, OAI, IAO
Vaki Elubatel, Vaki eða visa tu!
Ek vitki kveðja tu'um
Stir and waken
Stir and appear
Stir and show thyself as I command
You'll notice that I use a smattering of Old Norse in my conjuration, and it is because it is familiar to me and adds force to the words.  As I speak them, I weave in runic intentions and binds to strengthen the manifestation. You are free to so so as you see fit.

Repeat your conjuration as many times as you need til she appears.  You'll know when it happens, as either she'll make it clear through the Sight or something strange will happen with the candle and make it readily apparent, depending on your ability or lack thereof.

When she's appeared, run through the usual tests to ensure that she is actually there and verify that the spirit is who it indicates it is, then relay your charge in a manner like so:
Elubatel, heaven-sent glory-bringer
Hear me and obey, for I am the Son of the Master
I deem it wise for you to bring me success in the matters of my choosing
Go forward and bring my ventures pertaining to [what you need her to assist in] to successful fruition post-haste
I seal this command and conjuration by the Holy Name Yud Heh Vau Heh
And the power the Tetragrammaton embodies
My will be done on Earth as the Master's is done in Heaven
So mote it be!
Let the candle burn itself out, then dispose of the remains.  Be sure to ground yourself out before you operate machinery or anything of the sort.

Have fun, and happy conjuring!

Commodities & Oddities Removal

Greetings folks,

After much deliberation, I have decided that I will no longer be maintaining or hosting a Commodities & Oddities section on my website. Instead of diverting my attention from more important things, I have decided to redirect my focus to more regular ritual work and preparations for personal growth and for the sake of teaching folks.

If you should like to have specific gear made or consecrated, please contact me and I'd be happy to lend my services. :)

Omens & Oneiros

Greetings, folks.

As always, I hope my post finds you well.  As a follow-up to my previous post on the subject of Omens, I thought I'd speak on the subject of Oneiros, and how omens through the dream world are of import.

I find that the subject of Oneiros is under-discussed, as are the obvious associations with the Witches' Sabbat in today's day and age. For whatever reason, we have a long-standing tendency to dismiss visions and portents therein as feeble attempts of our deep mind to change our views; its rather silly, incidentally, as when our deep mind communicates, we really should "listen" and try to pay attention.

This is why many authors instruct their readers to grab a pen and paper and start writing things down in a journal immediately upon waking, in fact.  Sometimes, your brain is just spouting nonsense and you're left to figure out what the hell you're on about, and sometimes the information is actually vital.  To sort this out, I'd suggest using divination and context clues to find out if something therein is important.  For example, if you evoked a spirit the night you had a dream, something in there is probably important....its not as clear cut when you've not done any work, but that's where divination comes in.

The other tricky part is learning to actually remember our dreams, and that takes time and practice; so again with the pen and paper.  Furthermore, we can craft spells and charms to help us remember them more vividly.

It is for that reason that I have crafted and included a means by which you may do so, alongside a sigil to help you there.  Place the sigil under your pillow and recite the charm I've woven thricefold. Then dream, wake, and write.

A Brief Prayer & Statement of Intent

Now I sleep to stir a step
Upon this road I weave
In my mind's eye in the deep I find
Fiendish things of horror and delight

But I'll not turn, nor forget, nor lie
These things I see may belie
Something far more important in the ways I work
So I'll not forget to remember when I wake
Picture
The sigil, found to the right of this text, when combined with the use of prayer will help you if you are receptive to it.  I'd not suggest using it if you are faint of heart of have a psychological or emotional disorder, as it may worsen those conditions.

Do proceed carefully, as the dream world can, in many cases, be just as dangerous as the living world when you project.

With that said, its important to bear in mind that you are often the creator of the dreams you see, even when you're getting a message from a deity.  They interface with your mind, so the images, smells, fears, delights, faces, and so forth are all figments of your imagination, and thus they are important to you.  While you might take the impressions of another under advice, bear in mind that they will not be 100% accurate, as only you can define what a pig, bear, sigil, and so forth mean to you.

If you follow the advice of someone else fully, you may miss the point of the dream, so bear that in mind.  If you've had a visceral dream and decide you want advice, be sure to try to think it out before you seek help from another.  Once you've sorted out how you feel about it, get advice and see if it fits what you think the dream means, and then go from there.  Divination can easily be used by a third party to confirm or deny the meaning you ascribe to it as well.

Best of luck & happy dreaming.

Ave folks.

For the foreseeable future, if you should come to my site and read a blog post that is horribly formatted, you can blame my phone/Weebly's Android app.  I am beta-testing the application for them, and it'd seem that the application loves to strip my formatting when posting.  I apologize for any headaches this may cause in the future, but rest assured, if an article is unreadable, come back later and I will have repaired it.

Thanks for your patience,

Omens

4/18/2013

Greetings folks.

It's been my experience that when one manipulates the fabric of reality, it's relatively common for episodes of synchronicity to occur. When it does, it behooves us to interpret the signs and fact accordingly; this is particularly true when the omen is supported by myth and legend.Just a couple of days ago I encountered an instance wherein this occurred.I was conjuring Kali-ma towards the goal of causing a woman to miscarry the child conceived via dishonesty and manipulation. Just as I was preparing to do the work, I heard gunshots ~1 mile north of my location.

Now, for those of you who wonder why I know these were gunshots, I should note that I put 3500 rounds through my 9mm last year. With that sort of range time comes extreme familiarity with the sound. Furthermore, the 911 operator I reached mentioned her call board lit up just as I called and my dogs both know what gunshots sound like, and they flipped. It's a pretty sure set of signs, never mind the latter confirmations in the subject.

That said, I took this as a strong affirmation that I was barking up the right tree. This was supported by Her unbidden appearance earlier in the day as well as my divination. As such, once the call to 911 had been made, I proceeded with the ritual work and it went off without a hitch. This has been communicated to the client, as I feel as though it's a sure sign that I got her attention AND the attention of other spiritual forces.

That said, this isn't the only example of synchronicity I've experienced, but it is the most recent one. As a result, I felt like it bore mentioning.

The TL:DR certain of this post is simple: when shit happens before, during, or after ritual work, pay attention. It may be a sign that you're on or off target. Following it up with divination will keep you from suffering from confirmation bias as well.

Happy witching,

Skills Required For Pacting

4/16/2013

Greetings ladies and gentlemen.

It's come to my attention that some folks still have further questions about pacting with spirits, so I thought it would be pertinent to discuss the subject in greater detail. When you set out to make a pact with a spirit, there are certain skills which are definite prerequisites and a few that are simply handy to have.

Necessary Skills:
  • Hear and understand spirits
  • Evoke them
  • Talk to them and be understood
  • Constrain them
  • Divinatory prowess
  • The ability to confirm the nature and disposition of the conjured entity

Useful Abilities:

•  See spirits
•  Understand the culture of the tribe the spirit is from.
•  Ability to form meaningful relationships
•  Ability to negotiate
•  Ability to read between the lines

If you have those skills, practice makes perfect. If you do not possess those skills, I'd recommend that you work with a professional...otherwise, it's relatively certain that things will get messy for you.

My advice would be to start small with local spirits target than grimoiric heavy-hitters, as then damage control is easier if you screw up. If you should mess up, I'll be happy to help sort your life out for a fee.

That said, happy conjuring.

Too Many Hands in the Cookie Jar

4/16/2013

Picture
Greetings, dear readers.

Recently, I had an incident that occurred with a client which prompted this post alongside a slight change to how I do things with clients. In short, this was a situation wherein there were too many hands in the cookie jar because the client in question decided that it was pertinent to hire three or four other workers alongside me, despite our conversations about how it was better to avoid complicating things.  It dawned on me, as this was occurring, that he had little to no idea of why this can be an issue, so I thought I'd talk about it here.

To start us off, think for a moment about working in a  kitchen with others, as that's something we've all done.  What happens when you add another person to the group working on cooking a meal? The room gets slightly more crowded with each addition of a new body.  Even when doing prep work, each person needs between a foot and a foot and a half of elbow room, not counting the counter space, to say nothing of the cook, whose likely wandering around the kitchen.  When you've only got 6 or 7 feet of counter space on each side of the kitchen, with an aisle that's ~3 feet across, that space gets damned crowded.  You've got people running around with knives, spices, meats, veggies, hot pots, boiling water, and Gods know what else; the area quickly becomes a hazardous sight.

Magic's really not all that different.  If your life is the stew and the sorcerer's the chef, its up to the chef to season the stew to provide you with what you ordered (the magical result).  If I am seasoning the stew, I have a pretty good idea of what spices I need to add, and what prep work I need to do. If you start adding other chefs to the mix, soon its going to become an incomprehensible mess, as I don't have the slightest idea what the hell the chef to my right is doing to the stew.  He's probably adding spices I'd never thought of with impunity, totally unaware of the fact that the meat in the stew is intentionally flavored a specific way.

To drop the metaphor and get down to brass tacks, in essence, when there are too many folks doing magical work at one time, the situation can get incredibly complicated.  The fact is that every working I do changes fate ever so slightly...when I'm the only one fiddling around, I can do this with a fair deal of control.  That's no longer the case when you have one other spirit worker doing work concurrently. Adding more to the mix only further complicates the problem.

That being the case, its not an issue if you hired someone to do the work prior to getting me involved, so long as they've already done their work.  Its also not an issue for you to hire someone a few months after I've done the work if the case is not, Heavens forbid, resolved.  But for the love of all that is holy, do not hire someone else while you're having me do the work. It'll likely become a convoluted mess and have really crappy repercussions in your life.

Granted, with that said, there's some flex to this "rule".  The fact is that some magical work is incredibly touchy, and other types are really rather cut and dry, for the most part.  Love work is naturally a pain, and everything's a balancing game, so that's a terrible time to add confusion to the mix.  Uncrossing and blessing work, however, is very direct...its simple, and generally, there's not a heck of a lot of confusion that can be caused.

Just do bear this in mind when you're either doing work for other people or having work done for you, as I'd hate to see your result get dorked up because of impatience or indecisiveness on your part.

Cordially,

SE

The Importance of Knowing One's Patterns

4/14/2013

Picture
Greetings folks.

As a follow-up to my earlier post, today I am going to talk about the importance of understanding one's patterns.

If you think about human nature, the way we think, the way we act, and how we tell each other apart, it rapidly becomes apparent that we are creatures of habit.  We like the way a specific sandwich tastes, or how a combination of food and song go together, or even how our routine is laid out; we adhere to our preferred patterns to the best of our ability, regardless of what is best for us.  If you doubt this, just look at what happens with folks who smoke, drink, or drug themselves compulsively on a daily basis.

Having said as much, its also important to understand that human beings are vulnerable whenever their pattern is interrupted, as it is at that time that they are between patterns, upset, frustrated, emotional, and not usually thinking clearly.  As a result, it is possible to manipulate folks by getting them to start unhelpful patterns that are self-destructive or otherwise problematic.

This is readily apparent when one considers such phenomena as the "mid-life crisis", during which a person, assumedly of middling age, decides that his or her pattern is no longer satisfactory and goes to staggering, sometimes ridiculous, lengths to change them.  Often times, the individual believes that these radical changes will allow them to reinvent themselves, and sometimes they are right. More often, however, such behavior is resultant of not knowing one's patterns and being unaware of how to modify them constructively.

Picture
During times like the mid-life crisis, most folks are easily manipulated and give themselves up to peer pressure.  Just look to the desperate housewives syndrome for further examples on the subject.  Older women will take younger men to bed in hopes that it'll make them feel alive, often being conned out of their savings and left once they're dried up and no longer fun for their new "boy toy". Older men fall for younger women, and end up being strung-along as "sugar daddies", never finding what they want.

Those are perfect examples of how folks are vulnerable through mundane means when their patterns are interrupted.  Now, to switch gears, we can also see the same thing in a magical and metaphysical light, though the dynamic changes slightly.  Fascination is, very literally, dangerous, to both men and women, as it is the surest means of bewilderment and befuddlement, for we're distracted and thereby open to attack.

To illustrate this, have you ever seen a person who, to you, struck you as so attractive and different that you couldn't help but stare at them and try to figure them out?  You get carried away in their presence, get heady, and willing to do what they ask of you, purely because it seems right?  That's fascination and glamour at its base; pure, raw, and powerful....it causes you to drop your guard and your jaw.

A skilled witch or sorcerer can use the temporary state of dulled awareness and general susceptibility you take on as a means of imprinting sigilized commands or sending a spirit after you.  I've had experiences where I was fascinated by a woman just long enough for her to tear open my root, draining me of energy very quickly; its what proved to me that it doesn't take much, and it doesn't take long.

In order to stop this from occurring, we need to be able to notice our behavior as it starts. That's where meditation, as mentioned previously, comes in.

There are means of defending oneself, but to do so, you must first have the awareness to know when such a slight is occurring.

Regards,

SE
