Evocation of Moloch

I, in keeping with some of the gnosis received through the creation, execution, and practice of the information and keys in my book "Planetary Magic: Utilizing the Keys", decided to to take another step forward and evoke Moloch.

He had appeared, numerous times, through my work with the Keys, to the point where there was a connection of some sort to be found, but I was unable to understand what the connection was without further research.  In researching him, I found several associations between him and the Stars and, thusly, the Heavenly Wanderers found within planetary magical practices.  He was often considered to be a heavenly bull, a king of the things outside of man's control, and in some cases he's been called a Lord of Saturn.  Saturn functions as a sort of planetary gateway to deeper practices, so it made sense that the connection with the stars would exist.

My utilizing the Gayatri mantra further inspired me, as its a Vedic mantra used to inspire awareness as to humanity's place in the Universe's equation.  When using it, the name Moloch would come to my brain in accordance with starry roads and so forth, so it both interested and perplexed me for a long time.  Gunter's discoveries and results, as posted previously, were further verification of gnosis I'd been sitting on for quite some time.

That being the case, I decided to proceed and evoke Moloch and see what I could find out.

In keeping with my way of evoking spirits, I decided to keep it relatively simple. Doing so was not disappointing, though I have to admit that he proved to be a very interesting source to speak to.

After doodling the sigil that had been burned in my mind for some time, I found that he appeared quickly, without malice or any apparent desire to stir up fear.  Instead, the air in the room started buzzing with a strange current of energy and it was as if my tile floor became alive.  The shift in presence was immediately noticeable, and it felt like an extremely parental energy presented itself; I use the term "parental" rather than "maternal" or "paternal" because it was neither masculine nor feminine.  It was strong in that it was something that I could feel vibrating through my very being, but there was no aggression, anger, caretaking, or even swooning; instead, it was very present, but very ambiguous outside of this feeling of having a parent in the room.  It was like talking to something that's been around for longer than humans have been, and its a feeling I'd felt before in dealing with my Patron. The phrase "indescribable", ironically, is pretty damned descriptive here.

Along with this energy shift came a voice that resounded clearly in my mind, to the point where I could swear that he was talking at me in the room physically. The voice commanded respect, but was neither aggressive nor passive, offensive nor gruff...it was very factual and to the point without seeming overbearing or yielding.  Very strange.

Immediately after Moloch's appearance, I had the desire to grab my mortar and pestle and start compiling a blend of incense; in doing so, he dictated that I mash together various resins for a recel....Frankincense, Copal, Myrrh (as a base), and Benzoin (aka Styrax).  There was enough in the mortar that breaking it down wasn't really very easy, but on instinct I set myself to the task of doing so.  As I did, he spoke to and through me, saying that his function was to grind people down so that they were forced to confront the reality of their situation.  It wasn't a malicious intent even, but more like a refined version of what Satan does in the Abrahamic worldview.  He just challenges you and forces you to see the truth rather than the veil of illusion we're more comfortable with sorting out.

It felt like the evocation lasted hours, but in reality I was "out" for about twenty minutes. I half came out of the mindset when my partner texted me and let me know that she was coming home - she was 5 miles away and felt the result of my conjuration.

After setting my phone down and recovering from the distraction, Moloch didn't seem the least bit phased.  There was a clear sense of timelessness as far as his being was concerned, reinforcing the idea that humanity was a blink of an eye for him....weird as hell, really.

So I continued macerating the resins and then, out of the corner of my eye, this blue/green/gray vortex appeared; at first I thought something else was coming into the room, but then I noticed that the energy looked sickly and was actually being dragged out kicking and screaming.  There was this noticeable "wumph" sound, and then a distinct void in the room, though Moloch hadn't left.  Immediately after, my property was filled with this odd, comforting energy that I had seen and experienced several times when I was much younger.  I saw a stang over the altar that felt as if it had been driven into place, and then as soon as it had appeared the energy had settled into place and things felt as right as they could be. Some things that were in need of cleansing were obviously out of place and noticeable, so it was as if the evocation had led to the clearing of my mind and space that then showed me all that was left to be done.

Right before my lass returned home, I thanked Moloch for coming, as my recel had been crafted, and he left without any weirdness or unpleasantness.  I then set to work on the various things that needed doing and things went off without a hitch.  Now, my whole house has been invigorated and the life on my property has been given some oomph; leaves are greener and healthier, and there's less of the weird hangers-on that have been coming out of the woodwork since Sowen.  The same thing can be noticed down the entire street - even the neighborhood dogs have been, for want of a better term, blessed.

All in all, it was a very rewarding experience, and it gave some proof that I've been on the right track. Definitely worth investigating further, as I had a great deal of fun with it and the effects are still very present after 24 hours.

Happy Monday, folks.

Aggressive Spirits

Recently there's been a slew of extremely distressed folks contacting me about negative experiences they're having.  In particular, there has been a rise in the number of folks who have been targeted by aggressive, ill-meaning spiritual entities.

As a result, it seemed pertinent to write a bit about this topic, discuss some of the differences, and give some tips and tricks for ridding oneself of these troublesome pests.

The first thing that needs to be understood is that there are a LOT of different types of spirits out there and a whole hell of a lot of gray area to deal with when defining them and their natures.  Some are primarily benevolent, some are primarily malicious, and more are a smattering of those traits, mixed in with personal motivations and preferences that become readily apparent.  Just as we are diverse and prone to extreme differences in behaviors, so too are spirits.  Sometimes these differences are good and pleasant, and other times they can be downright frightening and damaging. In fact, its the damaging and aggressive sorts I'll be focusing on today.

Aggressive spirits come in all shapes and sizes, but there are a few particularly important details that help you in figuring out how to deal with them. Specifically, figuring out what a spirit is bound to is key to learning how to rid yourself of their meddlesome influence.  A spirit can be bound to three types of things:

  1. Living beings
  2. Objects
  3. Places

If a spirit is bound to a living being, you're looking at a form of possession that follows an individual from place to place, usually causing trouble along the way.  These issues can vary from little annoyances to causing accidents and killing your pets and almost always require an exorcism.

Spirits that are bound to objects typically haunt the area around where the object is, so when the object is removed from the premises, the disruptions stop.

Spirits that are bound to places are generally stuck in one place, so when you leave the area, you leave the entity's reach and thereby aren't affected by it.

Bearing the above types in mind, its important to note that aggressive shades can and frequently do hitch rides on people or objects that have the appropriate charge to accommodate them.  All it takes for them to do this is energy, and some sufficiently powerful entities can do this at will, so its important to be aware of this.

That said, given the fact that some of these entities can "hop bodies", so to speak, its important to maintain a solid regimen of purificative and protective spiritual practices.  If you don't do this, you will be easily susceptible to negative influences, possession, etc.

If you should be unfortunate enough to begin experiencing a haunting that follows you around, I would recommend that you immediately begin doing the following things:

  1. Thoroughly clean out your residence to see if it fixes the issue.
  2. Learn to perform the LBRP and do so at least twice a day
  3. Learn to perform the LBRH and do so at least twice a day
  4. Learn the Middle Pillar and do so at least once a day
  5. Smudge your house and yourself with one or more of the following herbs:
    - asafoetida
    - fumitory
    - angelica root
    - mugwort
    - wormwood
    - sage
    - camphor (don't breathe it, it'll cause lung issues)
    - chili peppers
    - copal
    - sandalwood
    - black peppercorns
    - bay leaves (always mix with mugwort for this)

*Note: avoid anything that has a tendency to strengthen manifestations, lest it cause you problems.  This means that you should never use mullein, dittany of crete, or any psychoactive herbs when doing this.  It WILL cause you more problems if you disregard this warning.

  6. Take purificative baths

These methods will defend against most of the less potent nasty spirits provided you keep up with the practices.  If, for whatever reason, those options do not work. seek professional assistance and be sure that you continue to do the work above! If you slack off and don't do this, the situation will get worse and the spirit causing trouble will take further hold. Even a professional cannot fix it with ease.

Hope that information helps.

Pacts & Their Importance

4/5/2013

Picture
Greetings, ladies and gentlemen.

The topic of this post is pacts & their importance, as I've been receiving a great number of communications on the subject recently. Its a greatly misunderstood practice, so I hope that by discussing it here, people will begin to understand some of the mechanics inherent in the process.

What are pacts?

Pacts are a "spiritual technology" which bind one to a spirit, in a matter of speaking.  The spirit gives the human something, and the human gives the spirit something in return.  Its an exchange of energy which should be equal on both ends.

They come in the forms of promises, oaths, bargains, deals, ultimatums, and so forth.  Even an act as simple as "God, save me from this crisis and I'll do [X]" is a pact, albeit a hasty one done without a great deal of thought.

What purpose does a pact serve?

Pacts serve as communal building blocks, in a number of ways, and can be used to deepen your connection with a spirit via physical means and actions.  They, in a very literal way, are meant to improve your life AND the spirit's life, as they are unique and have needs and wants just like we do.

What can I get from a pact?

You can get most things from a pact, provided they're realistic.  You can ask for assistance getting a job, getting a raise at a job you already have, being given part of inheritance, getting a girl, getting a boy, getting a dog, getting a cat, and so on and so forth.

The trick is that the thing you are bargaining for must be in the realm of possibility and within the power of the spirit. If either of those requirements are not met, you will either have a one-sided pact on your hands or nothing (good) will happen.  Ineloquently wrought pacts are, very literally, dangerous, but I'll discuss that in a few minutes.

What do I have to give when making a pact?

Anything that is of use to a spirit can be given in a pact, so long as it is something you have the right to give.  If you are to give it, you must own it.  Giving up another person's life, for example, is generally an issue.

<<<If the spirit is willing to take that as part of the bargain, BEWARE!>>>
Spirits that are willing to take such a bargain know more than you do about a situation and will use it against you at a later date (don't ask me how I know this...).

Generally, a spirit's not going to be all that interested in your soul, however.  Instead, offerings of incense, sexual energy, light, darkness (a bit trickier), food, drink, or other tangible forms of energy that are important to you are enough to win their interest.  Blood is something that can be given, though to do so as an offering can be more than a little hinky, so do so cautiously.

Even actions, such as donating money to a charity named after the spirit or one that has a purpose similar to the spirit's function can be powerful motivators.

How do I make a pact?

In a word, carefully.

Before you start looking into making a pact with someone or something, divine, divine, divine.  You need to first find out if the spirit'll be willing to work with you, if the thing you're going to ask for is within their power, what it'll cost you to get it, and whether or not the spirit is going to play games with you and try to screw you with the pact.

So firstly, do recon and figure out the specifics.

Secondly, you have to formulate the language and verbiage of the pact. A language that is not your own is great for starting and sealing a pact, but a terrible thing to use when actually creating and executing one.  Its a pretty sure bet that the spirit'll understand a foreign language better than you do.  The words you use in creating the pact must be specific, direct, and limiting.  Do not leave anything you should have control of up to the spirit, and do not, under any circumstances, leave what you're to do for the spirit out of the pact.

The more specific you are, the better, for reasons I'll get to in a moment.

Are pacts dangerous?

Finally, we come to one of the biggest curiosities folks have about pacting: are pacts dangerous?

In reality, they can be. If poorly executed on your part, the spirit gains power over you that can be used to make your life a living hell or worse.  Obviously, not all spirits are inclined to do that to you, but many will just for the sake of gaining the upper hand.

Elves, fae, and dwarves, for example, will generally try to pull the wool over your eyes and get the better end of the deal because its a cultural tradition for them.  Its only a good deal to them if they are getting more from you than you're getting from them.  Demons, on the other hand (as in the infernal, not land spirits/daemons) are the same way, but they like to get the upper hand so that they can wreak havoc in your life if they don't like you or want/need something you have.

Its also worth noting that pacting with a spirit you don't know well is generally a bad idea.  You give that spirit more of a foothold in your realm, so its possible that some ill-natured entities will use that foothold to coerce you into making more pacts with them by making your life more difficult.

Its something to bear in mind.

Final thoughts

Pacting is an exceedingly useful exercise, but its something that should only be done by folks who know what they're doing.  If you don't fit that bill, hire a sorcerer, witch, etc. to do the work for you, but only do so if they know the spirit you wish to pact with well.  Well-known spirits aren't always the best choice, so again, do your research and work with the spirit to find out what they'd be open to.

You're always welcome to seek out my advice on the matter, and I hope this has been illuminating for you.

Best of luck & warm regards.

A Mercurial Key

Greetings and blessings ladies and gents.

Here we are again, on a quickening Wednesday,  hump day.  In accordance with and as a result of my work with the "Seven Spheres in Seven Days" crew, I've got another planetary key to share with you lot.

This one, in honor of the day, is a Mercurial Key, and represents the vested interests held by the planet, the home of Science, Communication, non-romantic interpersonal relations, and balance.  It is, in so many ways, an ambivalent planet just as its  emotionally-driven, in my experience.  To be frank, its the planet I enjoy working with the most.

That being the case, here's the key:

Picture
Think carefully when you do this work, and pay careful attention to your results and insights; this is the planet of subtleties.  Beyond that, you are on your own to sort out its uses. :)

Cordially,

Ave.

Here we are again, and it is Tuesday.  As with the previous entries, this is a follow-up of sorts spawned by my work with the "Seven Planets in Seven Days" crew.

Today's entry, as its astrologically-fitting, is for Mars, the planet closely associated with Dominance and War.  Below you'll find a key to use in tapping these energies.

Picture
As with the previous keys provided, when you stick this on your spiritual keyring, you'll need to learn how to use it, and use it well.  Consider this to be akin to a weapon of war, such as a knife or a pistol.  Poor aim and poor handling can cause you harm, so bear it in mind.

Good luck.

The Importance of Being Earnest: Magical Work & Fate

11/11/2012

Picture
Greetings once again, dear readers.   I hope this Sunday morning finds you well.

As a result of some of the magical work and the associated studies that I've been doing, I've been learning some interesting things about fate that seem to be worth sharing.

I've spoken on Karma previously, but didn't really go into much detail about how that cause and effect can play out with regard to magical work that has been started, then cancelled, or started, then left to fizzle, and so on and so forth.  Over the past few weeks, I've had a few clients opt to not follow-through, and unfortunately, their decisions have left them in a troubling mire with some distinct, problematic consequences.  This worries me, so I'm talking about it here.

Now, fate, wyrd, and karma are three words that are often used to describe happenings that seem to be destined to occur.  Some of this reference, in the West, is incorrect, as the systems associated with these terms are ill-understood or are simply being manipulated to empower the person speaking on the subject.  A lack of basic understanding of these forces is, in my opinion, grounds for someone to have their "magic card" taken from them, as we sorcerers, witches, shamans, and so on can do some serious damage if we're not careful.

Part of the trouble here is that its a bit of a catch-22 when doing the Work, especially if we're doing work for clients who don't understand the contingencies.  When we do Work, whether its to get a new job, get a promotion, get a new lover, fix an old relatioship, or some other such goal, we are binding one or more people to a certain path as far as wyrd/fate are concerned.

Every step we take, every breath we make, every person we meet, everyone we hurt, everyone we have sex with, and so on are part of our ongoing wyrdic development.  Literally, every time we do ANYTHING we create a connection with someone else that either pushes us further in one direction or restrains and constricts us; the same can be said for every action we DO NOT take. Realistically  there's no way we're going to adequately manage all of those little interactions; we're human, and we don't have the awareness necessary to really be able to understand each and every step.  Divination certainly helps, but there are times that even asking a question is enough to bind us to certain things. I've had many a time where I asked a question that I wasn't supposed to and had to deal with some nasty consequences as a result.  Last night, in fact, was an occurrence of me being obstinate and asking too many questions....

That being the case, we really do have to take steps to ensure that the big steps we take in our lives, such as getting married, having sex with a man or woman, taking a new job, having magical work done, and so on are steps that are carefully considered.  Learning to divine or having a skilled diviner do the work for you is pretty much mandatory, lest you strand yourself up shit creek in the future.

To further illustrate this point, I should note that I get a lot of clients who want me to do love-related work for them.  Usually, this happens when someone is either unable to woo a girl or they have a dysfunctional relationship with another person.  In situations like that, 99% of the time, I elect to divine, as starting a relationship with someone combines emotional forces as well as combines two distinct streams of luck into one pool; better understanding the effects this will have is all but mandatory, and more often then not, I have to tell clients that they don't want to proceed with the work.  If, however, they elect to proceed, it always changes their life in one way or another.

So, for example, let's say that Abby contacts me because she and her ex boyfriend split up.  Abby's completely distraught because she thinks the world of him despite the fact that he's clearly an abusive ass.  That being the case, despite the fact that I tell her she doesn't want to return to him, that she needs to move on, etc. etc., she decides that she still wants him back, and I do the work to get him back.  In doing this, she either delayed her ability to find happiness with another man or killed the chance completely.  When she does wind up with this jerk of a boyfriend again, he now starts back up with the same nonsense that was going on before, only it gets worse.  Now Abby's got scars from a broken nose, chipped and missing teeth, and she has severe sex-related PTSD because the boyfriend was not a kind man and only liked things a certain way.  What's the likelihood, in that state and today's world. that she'll meet up with a kind, loving man whom she feels attracted to, who supports her, is willing to overlook her blemishes, AND help her through her PTSD?  Really, its not going to be so likely, so her taking the easy route just made her life that much more difficult, and it bound her to the fate of having pretty miserable relationships.

When you think of fate and wyrd in terms like this, it becomes at least a little easier to understand, even though that understanding is far from perfect.  The point, herein, is that we have, as magical folk, the ability to make some really crazy shit manifest. That being the case, we have to use those abilities wisely, lest they come back to haunt us later.

I hope this has been enlightening.

Regards,

SE

High John the Conqueror

Greetings everyone.

In relation to Brother Ash's new release regarding High John the Conqueror and some talks I've had with clients, I thought I'd post a page out of my personal grimoire.  High John's a potent spirit of trickery, lust, love, domination, and other facets of human existance.  He can be a bit hot to work with, but He's plenty able to get things done.

That said, below's a sigil which can be used to conjure High John and ask for assistance.  This is not a standard symbol which can be utilized by simply printing it out and staring at it.  This is intended to be a gateway for magical growth, that you will need to work with as a means of growing and learning, as there's hidden meanings therein that will need to be discovered to use it effectively.

Job Finding Magic: Making Oneself Marketable

8/31/2012

Picture
Greetings once again, dear readers.

A conversation with a member over at EM finally sparked my desire to write this post that's been floating around in my brain for ages (thanks for the motivation, by the way!). As one'd guess, I get a great many contacts from  people asking for help in getting jobs; its almost a daily thing, in fact.  That being the case, I thought I'd create a post specific to making oneself marketable, as this is of great import when attempting to gain employment.

Before I really get to the nitty gritty details, I should note that, as mentioned before, I work as a software administrator and have been doing tech work for years. I've also worked retail in the past, trained new employees for the past four years, and sat on interview boards, so I can give you a reasonably good idea of what hiring managers are looking for, as well as give you advice on how to be just that.

Experience is, as one'd expect, of great import in any industry, regardless of credentials.  So much so, in fact, that its more valuable than years of schooling; its becoming more and more frequent, in the USA, that people are being hired into jobs that provide 40-80k a year without a college education.  If you get your foot in the door, its a great way to gain access to opportunities that will open the door wide open for you.

In the conversation with the gentleman I mentioned above, we spoke on this with regard to retail experience.  He had approximately 5 years of retail experience, but unfortunately, even if you're in the retail industry, that's not so valuable anymore. It seems impressive on paper, but it isn't anything special anymore, as for the past 10-15 years, its been increasingly common for kids to start working at the local mall, outlet store, home depot, or other retail outfit.  They usually they start at 15 or 16 years old and stick to it through the remainder of middle school and high school.  Their reasons aren't always the same, but in the case of my girl's students, a pretty significant portion of them have such jobs.

If 5 children per class have such a job, with some of the medium-sized schools will have up to around 200 students who are doing this.  With how many schools are in most states, that's 2000 students or more who have retail experience.  If they stay in school and the retail job through middle and high school, that's 6 years of work experience, resources, and contacts.  That means that these kids are essentially ahead of any of their peers that didn't have such an experience, as far as work is concerned.

They essentially move to the head of the interviewer pool by default, as such work experience it makes them stand out even if it doesn't apply to what they're trying to do (if you're a parent, I strongly suggest that you make your kid start working ASAP; they might hate it at first, but it'll benefit them in the long term).

This, of course, brings me to my next point of bettering your skills constantly and making sure that your resume reflects this. Every time you apply to a job they get a soft copy.  If your skills haven't improved any, the hiring manager probably isn't going to be all that interested, as you're not working on anything of worth; in short, you appear lazy and your resume gets trashed.

The best thing you can do is branch out your skillset. If you have aspirations of doing something techy in the future, spend time taking free classes on things like web design, using Microsoft Office effectively, understanding SQL, and so on and so forth. Those things look great on the resume, as even though they are actually outside your discipline, it means that you can work with people who do know those programs and functions intimately; that makes you a more valuable asset. It also shows that you are intelligent and have a drive to learn more on a daily basis; its hard to come by a better employee.

Finally, ensure that you speak well and understand, on some level, multiple cultures.  This is a widely overlooked skill, but if you know the religious views, political ideology, or cultural views of the interviewing manager, you can adjust your tactics to coincide with this. In essence, you could kiss up to that person and be mostly aware of what they might want, making your attempt to manipulate them more effectively.  Keep in mind, I use the word manipulate here because that is exactly what you are doing.

Once you've done those things, all you need to do is be attentive, use the appropriate magical means to make it all work according to your plans, and you should be able to land any job that's within your grasp with relative ease.

Regards,

SE

The Importance of Perspective

8/22/2012

Picture
Greetings, dear readers.

A thread on EvocationMagic got the gears turning in my brain, and I thought that I should write up an article about the importance of perspective.  To frame this post, it should be noted that the original topic at hand was necromancy and the associated practices.

Necromancy, for whatever reason, has resurfaced as a topic of intense discussion and debate, as of late.  As a result, interested parties have decided that it is a wise idea to seek out someone who speaks openly on the subject and attach themselves firmly to that individual's coattails as if they are the be-all-end-all source of inspiration and worthwhile information.  This is dangerous to begin with, but it becomes even more dangerous when one is speaking on the subject of working with the dead, as they are not to be trifled with.

Generally speaking, I am more than a little uncomfortable with discussing the subject publicly. There are a multitude of reasons for this, but one major reason is that I do not wish to offend those who have taken the time to teach me what I know about the subject.  There are plenty of aspects thereof that I am, quite literally, bound from speaking of due to oaths I've taken.  Having said as much, I will be speaking on it in the abstract for the sake of illustrating my point about the importance of perspective.

Humans are naturally rather biased; we get wrapped up in our preconceived views due to our upbringing and whatnot.  As a result, its difficult for us to seek a wider view of the information at hand, despite the fact that it is often incredibly important that we do so.  I am a proponent of view that we should seek balance and view each thread of divine inspiration critically and analytically, both without the "cultural bias" inherent to the system as well as with that very bias. In doing so, you view "System X" from both extremes and can then discern where the median between those extremes is.

To explain this using a paradigm most of us are very familiar with, we can look to Christianity. Christianity, regardless of the sect one ascribes to, generally contains two distinct extremes:
  1. Christ is the one and only son of God.  He died for our sins and Satan/Lucifer/The Devil is the "Bad Guy" who wants our souls.
  2. Christ is a fraud, God's a jerk, and Satan/Lucifer/The Devil is around to enlighten us.

I'm sure my explanation of Christianity as such will draw some flak, but before the Satanists in my audience send me hate mail, you should realize that without Judeo-Christianity there is no Satanism; thereby, Satanism is an extreme view of Christianity.

That said, neither extreme is all that useful at the end of the day, as both of them cause us to put blinders on. The median view between those extremes ends up being something akin to "Christ and Satan both exist, and both are necessary".

If you follow me to that point, consider this, then, on a more global scale and add an element of historical research to the work at hand. Once you've done so, you can then draw similar parallels with certain sects of Buddhism, modern-day Hinduism, Islam, and even some Judaic threads of faith. In doing so, you've encompassed between 6,500 and 7,000 years of human religious history and development. Once you've done that, you can continue the trend and look back further and further until you get to the end of the evidence and the beginning of human development in that arena.

Returning full circle to the topic of necromancy, after you've done the above historical research, you can then look at the evidence of religious practices from however many thousands of years ago. In the case of necromancy, we must look back to the beginning of burial practices. As far as we know, humans first started burying their dead, in one form or another, between 80,000 and 120,000 years ago.

We can assert this because one doesn't bury their dead unless there's an inherent belief in some sort of afterlife, as otherwise the ritual is useless. That being the case, we can assert, through the ritualistic behavior, that some sort of primitive necromantic practice occurred.

Ultimately, this brings me back to the purpose of this post: we don't need to ride the coattails of someone else's work in order to get back to basics and figure out where a lot of this comes from.  We have plenty of evidence out there that can be used to enlighten us and shape our views.

Doing our own research doesn't dilute the knowledge transfer quite as much.  Sure, it is still going to be diluted, as someone had to interpret the historical data, but that's one less step on the knowledge transfer train.  This is important because acknowledging any man or woman as Master, Mistress, Teacher, or any such title means that you are subjecting yourself to their limitations. This goes for all forms of instruction, be it from a human, elemental daemon, deity, or any such thing. That being the case, if you're going to subject yourself to such a thing, realize that this is what you're doing and be willing to look at everything they provide in a critical fashion.

If you're going to be expected to take something on faith, someone should at least have the decency to tell you as much.

I hope this post has been both helpful and enlightening.

Regards,

Elemental Daemons: Khelbir

8/21/2012

Greetings once again, dear readers. I hope this post finds you well.

As yet another follow up to my Elemental Work post, I've got another seal to share with you....

Picture

The spirit in question is named Khelbir, and his sigil is posted above.  He is an earthen creature, not all that dissimilar to Ghob whom he answers to.  Khelbir is what some might call a gnome, defends the hearth, unveils hidden things, and empowers people whom he respects.

He is not, however, very friendly towards women, as he views them suspiciously and has a tendency to pinch them and pull their hair.  Its possible to earn his trust as a female (he adores my girl, for example), but to do so you must approach him gently.

As a male, if you wish to earn his respect, you must handle your business and work hard.  Laziness is not something he tolerates, and he'll do more than call you on it if you are the sort to lay about.

Enjoy!
