Nevertheless, these challenges are being conquered and I am still on track to return to work on April 6th. This move has given me a ton of time to think and converse with my spirits, and they’ve suggested that I talk about mindsets a bit.
I think we can agree that we’ve got a lot going on right now. The crisis has us collectively off our game, and we’re each adjusting to this day by day. This capacity for adaptation is what we humans are known for doing, and so we are playing to our strengths. While we do so and stay indoors and await the virus’ retreat, we have to plan for everything to get better.
Yes, things are pretty difficult and, in some cases, dire, but this too will pass. Our experiences will not always be this way, but that will only be true if we make a point of ensuring that productive change occurs. We do this by planning and acting as though everything will get better in the future. This is a requirement, as we grow through adaptation and overcoming obstacles.
I would recommend honing your skills, rewriting your resumes, and really investing into yourself while your workload is lessened. Make a point of using this time as your own kind of Vision Quest or Spirit Journey so that you can take your life by the reigns when this all blows over!
In short, while you're practicing social distancing and working to get through your days, also work on yourself. Grow from this and apply that growth in such a way that no one can keep you down afterwards! If we're lucky, we'll have survived a pandemic - how's that for a notch on your belt?
Blessings to you all! I’ve got to get back to work unpacking!
