Happy New Year!

Ave, folks.  We're straight out the Gate into 2015, and as such its a great time to get started on all manners of planning, working, and doing such that we can start ourselves off right with the new year. Last year was very, very hard for people. I've heard harrowing stories of loss, lost a few friends, gained a few trusted advisers, and watched as those around me have gotten their lives turned upside down. This sort of turmoil, while troubling, has a tendency to create a great many openings for newer, better things, however, so endeavoring to capitalize upon the lessened inertia is best done now.

With that being the case, let me be one of the first to wish you a Happy New Year and start us off with a spectacular set of rituals to be done at your convenience.  Since timing is everything, I'd recommend doing the following rites within the next week or two, if at all possible. I'll be including a set for you to do in your home and a set that you can hire me to do, depending on your level of magical aptitude, confidence, and the nature of your situation.

Home Blessing

For those of you doing magic at home, here are three rituals:

Invocation of the Horned God for Protection of the Home

Materials: 
1 lighter or match
1 green candle
1 plate or dish
1 liter jug of goat's milk
1 teaspoon of honey

The Rite:
Mix the teaspoon of honey into the jug of goat's milk. Then place the mixture on your ritual space (leaving it in the jug - don't just pour it out over your altar, as that's messy as all hell).

Place the green candle on your plate or dish and say the following: "I request the pleasure of your presence, God of Old.  With this offering of Goat's Sustenance and Bee's Blessing I humbly call for your aid.  Accept this and assist me by watching over my home and those within it.  Bless my family with your aid, and ensure that no harm can or will befall us."

Say this over and over until you feel a change in the home.  It might be a breeze, the feeling of pressure on your body, or just a change in your awareness.  When you feel this, thank Him for listening, then go about your day. Later on, when the candle has burned down, place the remaining wax into the mixture.  Take it all outside, and pour it on the ground, on a tree, or wherever else your instincts take you.

Materials:
1 lighter or match
1 green candle
1 plate or dish
a pinch of rosemary
a pinch of thyme
a pinch of arrowroot
a small jar of olive oil
a pinch of stevia
1 mortar and pestle

The Rite:
Mix rosemary, thyme, arrowroot, and stevia together, macerate them using your mortar and pestle, then mix them into the olive oil.  Let the mixture steep for three days.

When the steeping step has been completed, anoint the green candle with the blend and light it.  When you do so, focus on your intentions and wants for the new year.  Breathe life into those desires, then let the candle be.

Upon completion, gather the oil mixture and the remains of the candle, place the remaining wax into the oil, and then pour the mixture out on a tree, on the ground, or on a bush in your yard. While you do so, say "Sator Arepo Tenet Opera Rotas" 5x.

Invocation for Wealth

Speak these words while focusing on your desire: "By the spirits contained within the Tetragrammaton, I invoke the essence of the Divine.  By the Shem and Void I call unto the Made and ask that They would bless me with Financial Wealth and Prosperity in this year and years to come. Yod Hay Vau Hay Eloah Va Da'ath Amen."

You may wish to repeat this each day for seven days.
