Greetings folks, how are you each today? Pleasant Mother's Day weekend for each of you I hope?
In an unrelated but important development, a spirit I've been working with for some time now has given me permission to share his sigil. The spirit we're discussing today is Leviathan, known as the Great Serpent beneath the Waves. A much misunderstood being if ever there were one, and an exceedingly powerful being for those of us who live near large bodies of water.
For some backstory, in the Bible Leviathan is thought to be a singularly massive enemy, hostile to humanity and greedy with his hunger. In these stories, he's been maligned as being that which tormented those who dared to sail, and he's been consistently depicted as a gargantuan sea creature of one manner or another. In some respects, he's thought to encompass the civilized, material world and represents the hazards that exist outside the reef.
This fits to some extent, as in my experiences with Leviathan he's always shown himself to be a massive snake who comes out from the water to interact with me in visions. However, he's never been malicious or harmful to me. He's been quite profoundly reactive to those who would seek to get in the way of my developmental practices and rituals, but never towards me.
This brings us to the "why" of conjuring such a being. With Ha-Satan, its a matter of essentially becoming a self-determined being with financial wealth and stability enough to create great change and growth within our worlds. In his realm, its this financial stability that begets great change. With Leviathan, however, this stability comes from pinning down the edges of our world, staving off those who would cause problems and troubles alike for us.
He becomes an ensorcellment of his own and then uses this forced encapsulation as a means through which noteworthy spiritual growth and healing can occur. Leviathan essentially protects us from some of the nonsense others bring into our world so that we can get shit done, and that's the very tendency that makes him so powerfully worthwhile.

Draw this sigil on a large stone found on a beach near a body of water, then commend it to the waves before invoking him. He has expressed that the proper pronunciation of his name is "Liv'yatan" rather than "Lev-Eye-Ah-Than", but he answers to either.
After placing this stone in the water, speak a prayer of acknowledgement for him. Intone his name and greet him, then rest a while. You may experience visions or strong bodily sensations. Its not uncommon to feel as though you've been wreathed about and squeezed by a serpent as a part of this process.
After you've done so, take from this body of water a small amount in a mason jar, water bottle, etc. and bring it home with you as a link to the sea in which you've just met him.
Keep this container sealed & out of sunlight, using it to anoint the base of candles when you wish to work with him. With his approval, you may later take this seal and place it upon your altar as a cornerstone of your future work with him.
Be sure, following this, that you visit the locale in which you first met Leviathan on a somewhat regular basis. This is a means of keeping the connection between you and he strong, as its a kind of pilgrimage.
For me, that locale is the Pacific Coast of Oregon, as that's where I contacted Leviathan as a part of the work that's brought me to this point of sharing a means of communicating with him.
