Today I'll talk about a topic that doesn't often get much attention in magical circles despite its importance: cleanliness. Its a topic that's generally ignored, but cleanliness and magical work do go hand in hand.
It is my experience that a cluttered, unkempt home tends to cause entropic energies to congregate within, particularly when someone in that home engages in spiritual practices. These practices could simply be Eastern meditations or they could be full-blown rituals of grandiose proportions as found within many schools of Western thought; it really doesn't matter. What does matter, however, is that the clutter will continue to accumulate, and eventually your healthy practices will dwindle, and eventually you'll lack the motivation to get any work done, never mind magical work.
If you're feeling down, bored, unmotivated, and generally sapped of energy, physically clean your home or hire someone to do it; you will, however, get more benefit if you're the one cleaning. Once that is done, be sure to magically cleanse your home as well, then do work to bless the home and balance the energies therein. When you've done so, I'm willing to bet that you'll begin to feel a bit differently about the work you need to get done.
That said, I've decided to create and include a prayer to bless your home, invite in spirits that'd benefit you, and cast out those that don't.
