2020 taught me a number of lessons. It was a challenging year overall, and little teaches you as much about your limits as being pushed to grow to and expand beyond them on a daily basis. I experienced this throughout the duration of the year prior and it’s motivated me to make some changes in the way that I schedule efforts undertaken on behalf of clients.
Going forward, my office hours will stay the same, but I’ve modified my Emergency Services policy. I will continue to work from Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm Pacific, but I will no longer make myself available for non-emergencies after-hours. Unless there is a genuine, life & safety-threatening concern that requires immediate magickal action, all related conversation and discussion will wait until the next business day. This applies to ALL communications, including email, Instagram, etc.
***Proper*** emergencies will be handled the same way they’ve always been: I will respond ASAP, coordinate efforts, plan and enact magickal remedies and work to sort out the concerns of those in need of my immediate assistance. Emergency services are for established clients only and will always result in work being done at an emergency rate. Phone calls, divinations, etc are NOT emergencies *unless they are necessary to come up with a plan of action to handle said emergent situation*.
With everyone working from home right now, there’s a magnified importance to separating work and home life. If, for whatever reason, you are unable to get back to me during normal business hours, I will respond during normal business hours on the next business day.
It’s a standing policy of mine that works are to be handled in the order in which payment and details are received. This will remain in effect, and those issues which roll over from one week to the next will be treated with this priority in mind to ensure that I can attend everyone’s needs fairly and expediently.
For regular business hours, I would prefer that phone calls be scheduled at least an hour in advance. This allows me to complete works and communications for in-progress efforts & then focus my entire attention on you and your case during our call. Please do not randomly call me when it is convenient for you, as I am frequently working another case & the interruption is unhelpful. This is a matter of politeness and proper workflow.
Email communications have no charge (like always), but phone calls need to be paid for before the call starts. That might seem a bit asinine to have to state plainly, but folks are getting into some bad habits & that’s proving to be disruptive.
Thank you so very much for respecting and adhering to these changes going forward. I am excited and eager to continue working with you to improve your life & help you to reach your goals.
Much love,
Chris
