The signs we read are hardly ever tangible. Instead, they are ever-shifting. What might be interpreted one way during one evocation will be interpreted differently two weeks from now; this is something you can usually count on. Thus, learning to understand the subtleties of the messages being conveyed is key, but before we get to even that portion of the discussion, we must first touch on how we know God from the noise in our bustle.
There's no easy way to key in on your inner senses in a way that is right 100% of the time. Your heart'll tell you when something's genuine, but even that sense can be deceived if you're not quite in ship shape on a given day. Thus, learning to use a divinatory system that you cannot easily influence tends to be helpful.
Divination helps fill in the blanks and ascertain whether or not we're on the right path, but to be helpful, the means we use to determine yes/no answers must be clear. There must be specific rules you follow each and every time, as developing a lazy habit can lead to fuzzy answers. The long & short of it is that its important to keep it simple: something like coin divination can be incredibly useful.
To do so, pick a coin or three that speak to you and feel important. They don't need to be in a currency you use, the coins just need to have a side that can be demarcated as "heads" and a side that you can identify as "tails". They need to be small enough to be carried with you and large enough to not be lost or spent by accident. Being an American, I rather like holding onto coins from other countries because then I can't spend them by mistake.,...otherwise I keep losing my tools, and that's a pain in the butt.
Once you've chosen your medium, I suggest you invoke your God or Goddess or Pantheon and consecrate your new tools. Dedicate them to the purpose of finding correct answers to your questions, and then you're ready to roll.
Whenever a questionable circumstance comes up, formulate a clear query that can be answered in a yes/no fashion. Be direct and do not use confusing language, but be sure to specify that you are asking about the thing that happened earlier in the day. For example, if you're working with Babalon and Scarlet Woman wandered by you earlier in the day, ask "Babalon, did you send the Lady in Red as a message?", then toss the coins into the air. If you get 3 heads, its a yes. Anything less is a no. If you get a "yes" answer, then delve deeply into that circumstance with your mind and heart during meditation, then let the event speak to you.
If you get a "no", its time to clear both your space and your mind out to get rid of the extra noise that's keeping you distracted.
Happy hunting!
